Ray Foster - Project Director

Ray joined Rowney Sharman as a Project Director in 2018 from the Government of Jersey where he held the post of Director of Property and Special Projects. Throughout his career he has been responsible for delivery of large scale programmes and projects for public sector clients both in the United Kingdom and Jersey, where he was most recently the Project Director for Jersey’s Future Hospital programme.

He developed collaborative working with States owned entities, including Andium Homes and the Jersey Development Company.

Over the last 15 years he has overseen the delivery of major capital building projects in Jersey, including the redevelopment of the Island’s primary and secondary schools estate, the provision of a new Police Station and Headquarters and development of Courts, Prison facilities and the Government Office Estate.

Prior to moving to the Island, Ray worked with in central and local government in the UK, in a technical and advisory capacity as well as in project client management and strategic service delivery roles.

He has a first degree in Economics & History and a master’s degree in Real Estate. He is a charted accountant and member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy.

When not at work Ray says “I enjoy travelling to places off the beaten track, which inspire my interest in photography and creative writing. I dabble with watercolours to unwind and remind myself that you don’t need to be perfect to be content.”
