Stewart Rowney - Managing Director

Stewart is our Managing Director and originally formed the UK company in 1994. Rowney Sharman (Jersey) was established as a separate entity in 2009, after a number of successful projects on island dating back to 2002. Stewart sits on the board of the JeCC (Jersey Construction Council), has an MBA in Project Management and is a member of both the Association of Project Managers and the Institute of Directors.

His project and business management experience is extensive and spans over 40 years, covering property development, investment occupation, procurement, construction and business transformation programmes

Stewart’s extensive understanding of the development, compliance and planning process, includes an in depth knowledge of funding, lease agreements and negotiations and associated legal requirements. He has a detailed knowledge of consultants appointment agreements and building contractor’s contracts from direct experience in all levels of negotiation.

Stewart is currently responsible for project, programme and development management operations in the Channel Islands, providing key project strategic services, on behalf of end user, developer and investment clients on projects of between £500 K - £500 M in market sectors including business space, healthcare, retail, industrial, residential and leisure.

When not running the business, Stewart enjoys boating, loves to travel and is well known for his depth of knowledge and interest in wines from across the world.
