Description:

The Government of Jersey has procured Bond funding for the provision of social and affordable housing in Jersey, to be delivered by a number of relevant organisations including Andium Homes.

Planning approval was obtained in December 2018 for a development scheme on the former Summerland knitwear factory site (incorporating Thorp House and Broadcasting House), to be known as Le Clos Couriard. The scheme comprises:

No. 52 One Bed Apartments
No. 23 Two Bed Apartments
No. 7 Townhouses

The Government of Jersey has agreed to provide loan funding of some £21.3 million to meet the cost of the scheme. We provide an independent review of the project and funding arrangements to assure the Government that public funds are invested in projects that are soundly based and deliver the benefits for which the loan arrangements have been made.

The project commenced on site in April 2019 and is scheduled to complete in summer 2021.
